To change from handwriting to keyboard on Android, go to Settings > Language & input and select the keyboard you want to use.
If you’re using a Samsung Galaxy device running Android 4.0 or higher, you can get rid of the handwriting keyboard by going to Settings > Language and input > Keyboard and input methods > Manage keyboards. Tap the handwriting keyboard and then tap the delete key.
To turn off Google writing, go to your settings and uncheck the box that says “Enable Google handwriting input.
To turn off the handwriting keyboard on your Moto G stylus, open the Settings menu and select Language & input. Tap on the Gear icon next to the Handwriting keyboard and uncheck the box next to Enable handwriting keyboard.

Google handwriting input was removed from the Google Keyboard app in May 2017. According to Google, the feature was removed because “it wasn’t being used enough to justify keeping it around.
To enable handwriting in Google Docs, open a document and click on the “Tools” menu. Select “Enable Handwriting.” This will change the cursor to a pen icon. You can now write directly onto the document.
